P4G Calls for Partnerships Workshop on 23 Jan 2024 in Hanoi

P4G Partnerships is a global initiative, with the ambition of becoming the world’s leading forum for advancing innovative climate solutions to deliver on the SDGs and the Paris Climate Agreement. P4G Partnerships was initiated and funded by the Government of Denmark Program in September 2017 to continue the success of the former Global Green Growth Forum (3GF) initiative. Over the last 5 years, P4G has provided funding to 12 partnerships to run programs in various development themes in Vietnam such as digital solutions for water, energy transition, zero waste green industry, and food and agriculture value chain. We started the second phase of P4G (2023-2027) with the participation of 9 countries including 3 donor countries – Denmark, the Netherlands, the Republic of Korea, and 6 implementing countries – Colombia, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Kenya, South Africa and Vietnam.

In the context that Vietnam will be the host of P4G Summit 2025, we are working closely with Vietnam Ministry of Foreign Affairs and P4G National Platform including Ministry of Planning and Investment and Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry to prepare for this high-level event. From 2023 to 2025, it is expected that P4G will provide grants of in average USD 350,000 each to up to 20 partnerships to support 20 early-stage climate businesses in Vietnam that are bringing solutions to help tackle climate issues in five sub-sectors: food loss and food waste, smart climate agriculture, water resilience, renewable energy and green mobility. In 2024 and 2025, we will have two application deadlines each year on 8 March and 8 September.

To promote P4G funding opportunities to potential (I)NGOs as admin partners and climate startups as business partners of partnerships, the Ministry of Planning and Investment coordinates with P4G and the Embassy of Denmark to organize the Workshop “Sharing information about P4G’s funding for partnerships on green growth and climate actions.”

Time: 08:30 – 13:30, Tuesday 23 January 2024 (Tentative agenda is attached).
Venue: Melia Hotel, 44B Ly Thuong Kiet Street, Hoan Kiem District, Ha Noi.
